PERSONALISED EMPLOYMENT PASS (PEP) 

Personalised Employment Pass is for high-earning Employment Pass holders and overseas foreign professionals. It is not tied to an employer and offers greater flexibility than an Employment Pass. An Employment Pass holders need to earn a fixed monthly salary of at least S$12,000.

ENTRE-PASS

EntrePass allows eligible foreigners to start and operate a new business in Singapore. Your proposed business needs to meet certain requirements for you to be eligible for an EntrePass. These may include funding from an accredited source, intellectual property, research collaboration or being an incubatee.

S PASS (SP)
S Pass allows mid-level skilled staff to work in Singapore. Candidates need to earn at least S$2,300 a month and have the relevant qualifications and work experience.

DEPENDANT’S PASS

For spouses and children of eligible Employment Pass or S Pass holders earning at least S$6,000

LONG TERM VISIT PASS

For parents, common-law spouses, step-children or handicapped children of eligible Employment Pass or S Pass holders.

LETTER OF CONSENT

For eligible spouses or children of EP holders who hold a Dependant’s Pass, or an LTVP/LTVP+ issued by ICA. The LOC allows the holder to work in Singapore. The employer must apply for the LOC.

EMPLOYMENT PASS – EP

What is a Singapore Employment Pass?

Singapore Employment Pass (EP) is a type of work visa that is designed for managers, executives, specialists and other skilled professionals who wish to work in Singapore. Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) also accept entrepreneurs to apply for an EP after they have incorporated a company in Singapore. This enables them to relocate to Singapore in order to run company operations. There is no official quota for the EP.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR EMPLOYMENT PASS? 

  • Obtained a job offer in Singapore.
  • Work in a managerial, executive or specialized job.
  • Earn a fixed monthly salary of at least SGD $3,600
  • Have acceptable qualifications, usually a good university degree, professional qualifications or specialize skill.

What Documents Do You Need To Prepare?

  • A duly filled Employment Pass Application Form  endorsed by the employer
  • A personal page of the applicant’s passport
  • Applicant’s resume detailing his work experience
  • Latest business profile (ACRA)
  • Applicant’s detailed job description
  • Applicant’s educational certificates.

 

Additional documents are required if the applicant is from:

  • India – transcripts and marksheets
  • China – verification proof for diploma and above qualifications (Education certificates certified by a notary public are not accepted as a form of verification proof). A detailed description of the services/products and its business plan of the employing company.

S PASS – SP

What is a Singapore S Pass?

 This type of work visa (S Pass) is designed specifically for mid-level skilled workers employed by organizations or businesses running in Singapore. An application is evaluated based on a point system with consideration for each of the following factors: education qualifications, skills, salary, job type and work experience.

 

Dependency Ratio Ceiling (DRC) is the main criterion that determines the actual number of S Pass holders a company can employ.

For Service Sector Only

Year 2020:  7 Local Employee : 1 SP Holder

Year 2021:  9 Local Employee : 1 SP Holder

WHO QUALIFIES FOR S PASS ?

  • Have a fixed monthly salary of S$2,400 or above: Older and more experienced applicants are also expected to qualify under higher salaries, commensurate with their skills and work experience.
  • Possess a diploma, or technical/specialist qualifications:  Candidates from the People’s Republic of China are expected to authenticate their qualifications from independent verification channels such as the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center, China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Information and Dataflow.
  • Relevant work experience and skills.

What is a Work Permit?

The Work Permit (WP) is provided to semi-skilled employees who intend to work in Singapore’s sought-after sectors such as construction, manufacturing, marine shipyard, process or services sector.

Foreign Worker Eligibility (for Service Sector)

You can only hire foreign workers who meet the conditions for source countries or regions, age when applying and maximum period of employment.

You can employ foreign workers from these countries or regions:

  • Malaysia
  • People’s Republic of China (PRC)

    • Hong Kong (HKSAR passport)

AGE WHEN APPLYING

The minimum age for all non-domestic foreign workers is 18 years old.

When applying for a Work Permit:

  • Malaysians must be below 58 years old
  • Non-Malaysians must be below 50 years old
