Checklist
Key documents to prepare before the incorporation process:
- Company name
- Singapore business address
- Share capital (minimum $1)
- Directors particulars (at least 1 local director is required)
- Shareholders’ particulars (100% foreigner ownership is allowed)
- Business activity
COMPANY NAME APPLICATION:
The application for a company name can be e-filed using the Bizfile website. The authorised name will be held for a period of 60 days.
BUSINESS REGISTRATION APPLICATION:
Once your company name has been authorised, you can e-file your business registration application with all of your firm details, subject to an ACRA fee of $315.
DURATION OF PROCESS
After paying the registration cost, you must wait for ACRA to accept or reject your application. If the application must be sent to other authorities for approval, it might take 14 days to two months (e.g. a private school will be referred to the Ministry of Education).
SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS REGISTRATION:
If all goes well, you will receive an email with a download link for your company’s BizFile.
