Registering as a Seller on TikTok Shop
Your TikTok Shop seller journey begins with the account registration process. You can register as either a corporate seller or an individual seller.
Corporate Sellers
To register as a corporate seller, you must represent a business that is officially registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) of Singapore. Corporate sellers can register up to five (5) shops on TikTok Shop under one ACRA registration.
When registering, ensure that the name used is the same as the company representative listed in the ACRA registration. Also, ensure that the business scope and operating validity period you select during registration match the details provided in the ACRA registration.
If you’re unsure how to complete your corporate registration or need assistance with company incorporation, feel free to speak to our incorporation expert at WLP, which offers comprehensive services for company registration and incorporation in Singapore.
Individual Sellers
If you are not registered with ACRA, you can still become a seller as an individual. Individual sellers must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Singaporean citizen or permanent resident with a valid National Registration Identity Card (NRIC).
- Be at least 18 years old.
What Makes You Ineligible to Register as a Seller?
You will be ineligible to register as a seller if you, or any business associated with you, are currently under investigation or subject to enforcement actions by trade or consumer protection authorities, such as the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE). This includes investigations related to multi-level marketing, Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, or similar issues. You can register once the investigation concludes or the enforcement actions are no longer in effect.
