HostGator vs BlueHost vs Adolet

WLP Group

HostGator, BlueHost and Adolet are web hosting companies that offer WordPress web hosting services. All three web hosts are known for their reliability and high up-time. But which should you pick? This depends on how you are, what you’re looking for and your budget.

Which of the three has the best pricing and is most value-for-money?

HostGator is one of the oldest web hosting companies and is known for its extremely low prices and old UI.

BlueHost is a very popular WordPress web hosting company. While it’s not the cheapest, it is still one of the most affordable options and has a decent UI and is easy-to-use. Adolet is a more “premium” option but the price difference is largely due to its extra features in cybersecurity.

The cheapest option here is definitely HostGator. Their lowest plan starts off at $2.95 / month. However, you’ll miss out on a lot of features. For example, if your WordPress website was to get hacked and infected with malware, don’t expect HostGator’s support to help. You’ll be left on your own to clear through thousands of infected files and won’t have any backups to fall back on.

On the other hand, BlueHost offers a two-week backup service. This may be sufficient if you caught the malware early on. But BlueHost doesn’t perform malware checks so you’re expected to do this yourself periodically.

The most expensive (but best in terms of helping with malware) is Adolet. Adolet checks for malware everyday and alerts you if anything is found. In addition, Adolet makes backups every single day and does a WordPress backup restoration free-of-charge. Many amazing web hosting companies like SiteGround don’t even do this!

And since all your company emails are tied to your web hosting account, this may be important for businesses where client confidentiality is a priority. For example, law firms can’t afford to have emails between their clients leaked because they decided to save on a few dollars a month.

So which should I choose?

At WLP Group, we’ve seen hundreds of businesses of all sizes. If you own a small business with a one-pager website, HostGator or BlueHost is a fine option. But if you’re an eCommerce store with thousands of products or a law firm with thousands of confidential emails between yourself and your clients, you might want to consider Adolet.
